Role overview
The 2nd Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the vessel's engine department on a 4 point moored vessel. This role requires a strong understanding of engine systems and equipment. The 2nd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting engine issues, and overseeing the work of junior engineers. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of engine performance and maintenance activities. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate for a 2nd Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a similar vessel type
- Strong knowledge of engine systems and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
