Role overview
The 2nd Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the vessel's engine department on an AHTS non DP vessel. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently. The 2nd Engineer will report to the Chief Engineer and work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on engine room equipment, monitoring and optimizing engine performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for training and supervising junior engineers and motormen. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in emergency drills and respond to emergencies as needed.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a similar type of vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of engine room operations and maintenance.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
- Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
