Role overview
The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on our Bulk carrier vessel, responsible for maintaining and operating the ship's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 2nd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the ship's engines, pumps, and other equipment, as well as monitoring and analyzing the performance of the vessel's systems. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and for ordering spare parts and supplies as needed. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will assist with cargo operations and other tasks as required.

What we look for
- Must hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a Bulk carrier or similar vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
