The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a bulk carrier, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment.
This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently.
The 2nd Engineer will also assist the Chief Engineer in managing the engine department.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the main engine, auxiliary engines, and other equipment.
They will also be responsible for monitoring fuel consumption and optimizing engine performance.
Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

What we look for
