The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a bulk carrier, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 2nd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the vessel's engines and equipment, monitoring fuel consumption and optimizing engine performance, and supervising junior engineering staff. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of engine performance and maintenance activities. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a bulk carrier
- OKMust have a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices
- OKMust be able to work effectively in a team environment
- OKMust be proficient in English
