Role overview
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Engineer to join our team on a Container Ship. The 2nd Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the ship's engine and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working on similar vessels.
The 2nd Engineer will oversee the daily maintenance of the engine room, manage fuel consumption, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing engine problems, as well as supervising junior engineers. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in cargo operations and ensure that all engine-related tasks are completed efficiently.

What we look for
- Must hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience working on a container ship or similar vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of engine maintenance and repair.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
