The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a Container Ship, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently. The 2nd Engineer will also assist the Chief Engineer in managing the engine department.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the vessel's engines and equipment, monitoring and analyzing performance data, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for managing fuel consumption and optimizing engine performance. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer.
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a similar type of vessel.
- OKMust have a strong understanding of engine maintenance and repair procedures.
- OKMust be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- OKMust hold a valid medical certificate and be physically fit for duty at sea.
