The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a Crude oil tanker, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The 2nd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the vessel's engines and equipment, monitoring and analyzing performance data, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for supervising junior engineers and oilers, and for ensuring that all engine department personnel are following safety protocols and procedures. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will be required to maintain accurate records and logs of engine performance and maintenance activities.

Requirements
- OKRelevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer
- OKAt least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a tanker vessel
- OKHigh school diploma or equivalent required, degree in marine engineering or related field preferred
- OKAbility to pass a medical examination and obtain any required visas or travel documents
- OKAbility to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
