Role overview
The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a Crude oil tanker, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's machinery. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and experience working with large marine diesel engines. The 2nd Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include monitoring and maintaining the vessel's engines, pumps, and other machinery, as well as performing routine repairs and maintenance tasks. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for overseeing the work of junior engineers and oilers, and for ensuring that all engine department personnel are following safe working practices. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will be required to keep accurate records of engine performance and maintenance activities.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a tanker vessel
- High voltage training and certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
- Valid medical certificate and ability to pass a drug test
