Role overview
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Engineer to join our team on a General Cargo Vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the vessel's engine department. This is a key role that requires a high level of technical expertise and experience.
As a 2nd Engineer on our General Cargo Vessel, your day-to-day duties will include overseeing the maintenance and repair of engine room equipment, managing fuel consumption, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. You will also be responsible for supervising junior engineers and motormen, and participating in drills and training exercises. Additionally, you will be required to keep accurate records of engine performance and maintenance activities.

What we look for
- Must hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a similar type of vessel
- Must have a strong knowledge of engine maintenance and repair procedures
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
