Role overview
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Engineer to join our team on a liquefied natural gas carrier. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ship's engine department. This is a challenging role that requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills.
As a 2nd Engineer on our LNG vessel, your day-to-day duties will include overseeing maintenance and repair work, managing fuel consumption, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. You will also be responsible for supervising junior engineers and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the ship. Additionally, you will be required to participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- * Hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer
- * Have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role on an LNG or similar vessel
- * Possess a strong understanding of engine operation and maintenance
- * Be able to work effectively in a team environment
- * Hold a valid medical certificate
