Role overview
The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a LPG vessel, responsible for maintaining and operating the ship's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently. The 2nd Engineer will also assist the Chief Engineer in managing the engine department.
The 2nd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on the ship's engines and equipment, monitoring fuel consumption and optimizing engine performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The 2nd Engineer will also be responsible for training and supervising junior engineers and oilers. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will participate in cargo operations and other deck activities as required.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a similar type of vessel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a medical exam and obtain a valid seafarer's medical certificate
- Valid certification in survival crafts and rescue boats
