The 2nd Engineer also assists with cargo operations and ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer is responsible for training and supervising junior engineers and motormen.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a valid Chief Engineer's certificate of competency or a Second Engineer's certificate of competency.
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a tanker vessel.
- OKMust have a good understanding of engine maintenance and repair procedures.
- OKMust be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- OKMust hold a valid STCW certificate, including tanker endorsement.
