Daily duties involve conducting daily inspections of the main engine, generators, and cargo pumps, recording parameters in the engine log, and troubleshooting any deviations. The role requires coordinating watch schedules, overseeing the engine room crew during watch changes, and managing spare parts inventory. You will also support planned overhauls and emergency repairs while at sea.

Requirements

  • OK- STCW 1995 Certificate of Competency to 2nd Engineer (Engine)
  • OK- Minimum 2 years experience as 2nd Engineer on oil or chemical tankers
  • OK- Valid Medical Certificate and Seafarer’s Identity Document
  • OK- Proficiency with IMO MARPOL and ISGOTT regulations
  • OK- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engine schematics
