Role overview
The 2nd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on our Reefer vessel, responsible for maintaining and operating the ship's engines and associated equipment. The role requires a strong understanding of refrigeration systems and cargo handling. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of technical expertise.
The 2nd Engineer will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on the ship's engines, pumps, and other equipment. They will also be required to monitor and control the ship's fuel consumption and emissions, as well as manage the engine department's spare parts and supplies. Additionally, the 2nd Engineer will be expected to participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure the safe operation of the vessel.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on a merchant vessel
- Strong knowledge of engine maintenance and repair
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
