The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Bulk carrier, responsible for navigation and cargo operations.
This role requires a strong understanding of ship handling and cargo management.
The 2nd Officer will work closely with the Master and other deck officers to ensure safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, monitoring cargo operations, and maintaining deck equipment.
The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of navigation and cargo operations.
Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.
