Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Bulk carrier, responsible for navigating the vessel and ensuring the safety of the crew, cargo, and ship. This role requires a strong understanding of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures. The 2nd Officer will work closely with the Master and other deck officers to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, monitoring weather and sea conditions, and overseeing cargo operations. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for maintaining navigation equipment, updating charts and publications, and participating in safety drills and training exercises. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will assist with anchor operations, mooring, and unmooring.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a 2nd Officer
- At least 12 months of experience as a 2nd Officer on a bulk carrier or similar vessel type
- Valid medical certificate
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
