Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the navigation team on a Container Ship, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to plan and execute voyages. The 2nd Officer will also be involved in cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The day-to-day duties of the 2nd Officer include navigating the vessel, updating charts and publications, and conducting safety drills and training exercises. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining navigational equipment, as well as performing bridge watchkeeping duties. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will assist with cargo planning and loading/unloading operations.

What we look for
- Holder of a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate
- At least 12 months of experience as a 2nd Officer on a similar type of vessel
- Good knowledge of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
