This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to navigate the ship and manage its cargo. The 2nd Officer will also be involved in planning and executing voyages.
The day-to-day duties of the 2nd Officer at sea include navigating the ship, monitoring weather and sea conditions, and overseeing cargo operations. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for maintaining navigation equipment and performing safety inspections. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will assist with deck maintenance and repairs as needed.
