The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a General Cargo Vessel, responsible for navigating the ship and ensuring the safety of the crew, cargo, and vessel.

The 2nd Officer will work closely with the Master and other deck officers to achieve safe and efficient operations.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, maintaining deck equipment, and supervising cargo operations.

Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency.
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a deck officer on a merchant vessel.
- Must have a valid medical certificate.
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses.
- Must have a good understanding of ISM and ISPS codes.
