Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a General Cargo Vessel, responsible for navigating the ship and ensuring the safety of the crew, cargo, and vessel. This role requires a high level of skill and knowledge in navigation, cargo operations, and ship management. The 2nd Officer will work closely with the Master and other deck officers to achieve safe and efficient operations.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the ship, maintaining navigational equipment, and overseeing cargo operations. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of navigation, cargo, and ship maintenance. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as 2nd Officer
- At least 2 years of experience as a deck officer on a merchant vessel
- Good knowledge of navigation, cargo operations, and ship management
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid medical certificate
