Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a General Cargo Vessel, responsible for navigation and cargo operations. This role requires a high level of professionalism and adherence to safety protocols. The 2nd Officer will work closely with the Master and other officers to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, monitoring cargo operations, and maintaining deck equipment. They will also be responsible for keeping accurate records and reports, and participating in safety drills and training exercises. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will stand watch and respond to emergencies as needed.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate
- 2 years of experience as a deck officer on a merchant vessel
- Strong knowledge of navigation and cargo operations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
