Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on our oil/chemical tankers, responsible for navigating the vessel and ensuring the safety of the crew, cargo, and ship. This role requires a high level of professionalism and adherence to safety protocols. The 2nd Officer will work closely with the Master and other deck officers to achieve safe and efficient operations.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties include navigating the vessel, maintaining navigational equipment, and performing cargo operations. They will also be responsible for conducting safety drills and training crew members on emergency procedures. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in bridge resource management and contribute to the development of the ship's safety management system.

What we look for
- Hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Have at least 12 months of experience as a 2nd Officer on a tanker vessel
- Possess a valid tanker endorsement and advanced tanker training certificate
- Have a strong understanding of ISM, ISPS, and MARPOL regulations
- Be proficient in English and have excellent communication skills
