Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on our Oil/chemical tanker vessels. This role involves navigating the vessel safely and efficiently. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties include navigating the vessel using a range of equipment and techniques, monitoring and maintaining safety equipment, and supervising junior crew members. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of cargo operations and deck maintenance. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

What we look for
- Hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Have at least 12 months of experience as a 2nd Officer on a tanker vessel
- Hold a valid tanker endorsement
- Have a good understanding of ISM and ISPS codes
- Be proficient in English
