The 2nd Officer is a key member of the deck team on our Oil/chemical tanker vessels. This role involves navigating the vessel safely and efficiently. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The 2nd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel using a range of equipment and techniques, monitoring and maintaining safety equipment, and supervising deck crew members. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for keeping accurate records of the vessel's movements and cargo operations. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to ensure the crew is prepared for emergencies.

Requirements
- OKHold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- OKHave at least 12 months of experience as a 2nd Officer on a tanker vessel
- OKHold a valid tanker endorsement
- OKHave a good understanding of ISM and ISPS codes
- OKHold a valid medical certificate
