Role overview
The 2nd Officer is a key member of the bridge team on a Ro-Ro vessel, responsible for ensuring the safe navigation of the ship. This role involves working closely with the Master and other officers to plan and execute voyages. The 2nd Officer will also be involved in cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The day-to-day duties of the 2nd Officer include navigating the vessel, updating charts and publications, and conducting safety drills. The 2nd Officer will also be responsible for monitoring the vessel's position and movements, as well as communicating with other ships and coastal authorities. Additionally, the 2nd Officer will participate in cargo planning and loading/unloading operations.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate
- 2 years of experience as a 2nd Officer on a merchant vessel
- Valid medical certificate
- GMDSS certification
- Excellent navigation and communication skills
