The 3rd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a oil/chemical tanker, responsible for the maintenance and operation of the vessel's engines and related systems.
This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
The 3rd Engineer will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 3rd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on engines, pumps, and other equipment, as well as monitoring and analyzing the performance of the vessel's systems.
The 3rd Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and for participating in safety drills and training exercises.
Additionally, the 3rd Engineer will work with other members of the engine department to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
