The 3rd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on an Oil/chemical tanker, responsible for the maintenance and operation of the vessel's engines and associated equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 3rd Engineer will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The day-to-day duties of the 3rd Engineer include performing routine maintenance and repairs on engines, pumps, and other equipment, as well as monitoring and analyzing the performance of the vessel's engines and systems. The 3rd Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repairs, and for participating in drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies. Additionally, the 3rd Engineer will work closely with other members of the engine department to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency.
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a 3rd Engineer on a merchant vessel.
- OKMust have a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
- OKMust be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with other crew members.
- OKMust hold a valid medical certificate and be physically fit for duty at sea.
