Role overview
The 3rd Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a Crewell Oil tanker, responsible for maintaining and operating the vessel's machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices. The 3rd Engineer will work closely with other engineers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 3rd Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on engines, pumps, and other equipment, as well as monitoring and analyzing performance data to optimize vessel operations. The 3rd Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and for maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities. Additionally, the 3rd Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a 3rd Engineer on a merchant vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and practices.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with others.
- Must hold a valid medical certificate and be physically fit for duty at sea.
