Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on a Container Ship, responsible for navigating the vessel and ensuring the safety of the crew, cargo, and ship. This role requires a high level of professionalism and adherence to safety protocols. The 3rd Officer will work closely with the Master and other officers to achieve safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The day-to-day duties of the 3rd Officer include navigating the vessel, maintaining deck equipment, and performing cargo operations. The 3rd Officer will also be responsible for standing watch, monitoring weather and sea conditions, and taking corrective action as needed. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain and improve the crew's emergency response capabilities.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a merchant vessel
- Must have a good understanding of navigation, cargo operations, and safety procedures
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
