Role overview
The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on our oil/chemical tankers, responsible for navigating the vessel and maintaining deck operations. This role requires a strong understanding of maritime regulations and safety procedures. The 3rd Officer will work closely with the Captain and other officers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties will include navigating the vessel, maintaining navigation equipment, and performing cargo operations. The officer will also be responsible for conducting safety drills and training crew members on emergency procedures. Additionally, the 3rd Officer will participate in cargo planning and monitoring cargo operations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Must have completed all required STCW training, including tanker familiarization
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a tanker vessel
- Must hold a valid medical certificate
- Must have a strong understanding of ISM and ISPS codes
