The 3rd Officer is a key member of the deck team on our oil tanker vessels.
This role involves navigating the vessel safely and efficiently.
The 3rd Officer will also be responsible for cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The 3rd Officer's day-to-day duties include navigating the vessel using a range of equipment, monitoring cargo operations, and maintaining deck equipment.
They will also be responsible for keeping accurate records and logs.
Additionally, the 3rd Officer will participate in drills and training exercises to ensure the safe operation of the vessel.

The role should be assessed around bridge or deck watchkeeping, cargo or passenger safety, mooring discipline, emergency response and clear record keeping.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency.
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses.
- Must have at least 12 months of experience as a junior officer on a merchant vessel.
- Must have a good understanding of cargo operations and deck maintenance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
