Role overview
The 4th Engineer is a key member of the engine department on our oil/chemical tanker vessels. This role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ship's engines and associated equipment. The 4th Engineer will work under the supervision of the Chief Engineer to maintain and repair the vessel's machinery.
The day-to-day duties of the 4th Engineer include performing routine maintenance tasks, monitoring engine performance, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The 4th Engineer will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of engine performance and maintenance activities. Additionally, the 4th Engineer will participate in drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.

What we look for
- Hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) certificate of competency
- Have at least 2 years of experience as a 4th Engineer on a merchant vessel
- Possess a valid STCW certificate
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Be able to pass a medical examination and obtain a valid seafarer's medical certificate
