Role overview
The Able Seaman role on a General Cargo Vessel involves maintaining the deck and superstructure of the ship. This includes performing tasks such as painting, cleaning, and maintaining equipment. The Able Seaman will also assist with cargo operations and deck maintenance.
The day-to-day duties of an Able Seaman at sea include standing watch, participating in rescue and emergency drills, and performing general maintenance tasks. The Able Seaman will also be responsible for checking and maintaining deck equipment such as winches and cranes. Additionally, the Able Seaman will assist with mooring and unmooring operations.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid STCW Certificate of Competency as an Able Seaman.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as an Able Seaman on a commercial vessel.
- Must have a valid medical certificate.
- Must have completed all required STCW training courses.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
