Role overview
We are seeking an experienced AB/Welder to join our team on a General Cargo Vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of the vessel. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
As an AB/Welder, your day-to-day duties will include performing welding and fabrication tasks, maintaining deck equipment, and assisting with cargo operations. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and repairs to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. Additionally, you will be required to work safely and follow all safety protocols to prevent injuries and damage to the vessel.

What we look for
- Valid STCW certificate with AB and welding endorsements
- 2 years of experience as an AB/Welder on a merchant vessel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Physical fitness to perform manual labor in a maritime environment
