Role overview
The Assistant Electrical Engineer will be part of the deck department on a Container Ship, responsible for maintaining electrical systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices. The Assistant Electrical Engineer will work closely with other crew members to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.
The Assistant Electrical Engineer's day-to-day duties will include performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, troubleshooting electrical issues, and testing electrical systems. They will also be responsible for maintaining records of electrical work and spare parts inventory. Additionally, the Assistant Electrical Engineer will assist in the planning and execution of electrical projects and upgrades.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as an Electrical Engineer
- At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer on a merchant vessel
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
