The Bosun is a key member of the deck crew on a bulk carrier, responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the vessel's deck and superstructure. This includes ensuring all equipment is in good working order and that the vessel is seaworthy at all times. The Bosun will work closely with the Chief Officer to prioritize tasks and manage the deck crew.
The Bosun's day-to-day duties will include supervising the deck crew during maintenance and repair tasks, conducting regular safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The Bosun will also be responsible for managing the vessel's stores and inventory, including ordering supplies and equipment as needed. Additionally, the Bosun will participate in cargo operations, including loading and unloading cargo.

Requirements
- OKMust hold a relevant STCW/CoC certificate as a Bosun or Able Seaman.
- OKMust have at least 2 years of experience as a Bosun or similar role on a bulk carrier.
- OKMust have a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- OKMust be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- OKMust have excellent communication and leadership skills.
