Role overview
The Bosun is a key member of the deck team on a crude oil tanker, responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the vessel's deck and superstructure. This role requires a strong understanding of maritime operations and safety protocols. The Bosun will work closely with the Chief Officer to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel.
The Bosun's day-to-day duties will include supervising deck crew, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Bosun will also be responsible for managing the vessel's stores and inventory, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure efficient operations. Additionally, the Bosun will participate in drills and training exercises to maintain emergency preparedness.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate
- 2 years of experience as a Bosun on a tanker vessel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent
