Role overview
The Chief Cook is a key member of the hotel department on our oil/chemical tanker, responsible for managing the galley and providing meals for the crew. This role requires strong culinary skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Chief Cook will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in the galley.
The day-to-day duties of the Chief Cook include planning and preparing meals, managing food stores and provisions, and supervising junior galley staff. The Chief Cook will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of food consumption and inventory. Additionally, the Chief Cook will ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a safe and healthy manner.

What we look for
- Valid Chief Cook certificate
- Relevant experience as a Chief Cook on a merchant vessel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification
