Role overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Engineer to join our team on a Container Ship. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the vessel's engine department. This is a key role that requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills.
As Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the engine department, supervising junior engineers, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. You will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs as needed. Additionally, you will be required to maintain accurate records and reports, and comply with all safety and regulatory requirements.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Engineer's STCW/CoC certificate.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Engineer on a similar type of vessel.
- Must have a strong knowledge of engine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
