The Chief Engineer is a senior management position on a Container Ship, responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the vessel's engine department. The Chief Engineer's day-to-day duties include planning and implementing maintenance schedules, managing fuel consumption, and overseeing repairs and upgrades to engine room equipment. The Chief Engineer will also be responsible for training and supervising junior engineers and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will conduct regular inspections of engine room equipment to identify and address potential issues.

Requirements
- OKA valid Chief Engineer's STCW certificate of competency
- OKAt least 2 years of experience as a Chief Engineer on a similar type of vessel
- OKStrong knowledge of engine room operations and maintenance
- OKExcellent leadership and communication skills
- OKA high school diploma or equivalent in a relevant field
