Day‑to‑day duties include supervising daily engine room watch, overseeing maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary systems, and managing spare parts inventory. You will conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot faults, and approve repairs or replacements as needed. Reporting on fuel consumption, emissions, and technical performance to the company’s technical office will also be part of your routine.

- OK- Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (COC) to Unlimited, STCW‑2010 endorsed
- OK- Minimum 5 years recent experience as Chief Engineer on a container ship of ≥10,000 GT
- OK- Valid Medical Certificate (Marine) and Seafarer’s Identity Document (SID)
- OK- Proven competence with diesel‑electric propulsion, ballast water treatment, and emission control systems
- OK- Strong leadership, communication skills and ability to work independently
