Role overview
The Chief Engineer is a senior officer responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the vessel's engine department on a Crude oil tanker. This role requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage a team of engineers. The Chief Engineer must ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
The Chief Engineer's day-to-day duties include overseeing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and managing fuel consumption to optimize vessel performance. What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Engineer's STCW certificate of competency.
