Role overview

The Chief Engineer is a senior officer responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the vessel's engine department. This role is crucial to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. The Chief Engineer will work closely with other officers and crew members to achieve this goal.

The Chief Engineer's day-to-day duties include overseeing the maintenance and repair of engine room machinery, managing fuel consumption and emissions, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
