Role overview
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the engine department on a Crewell LNG vessel. This role requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage a team of engineers. The Chief Engineer must ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
The Chief Engineer's day-to-day duties include overseeing routine maintenance, troubleshooting engine issues, and managing fuel consumption to optimize vessel performance. They will also be responsible for training and mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth vessel operations. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Engineer's STCW certificate of competency.
