Role overview
The Chief Engineer is a senior officer responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the engine department on a Crewell LPG vessel. This role requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage a team of engineers. The Chief Engineer will ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
The Chief Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the engine department, including monitoring and maintaining engine performance, supervising repairs and maintenance, and managing fuel consumption. The Chief Engineer will also conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting to prevent equipment failures. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will provide training and guidance to junior engineers and crew members.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Engineer's STCW certificate of competency.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Engineer on a similar type of vessel.
- Must have a strong understanding of LPG vessel operations and safety procedures.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
