Role overview
The Chief Engineer is a senior officer responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the vessel's engine department on an Oil/chemical tanker. This role requires strong technical knowledge and leadership skills to manage a team of engineers. The Chief Engineer will work closely with the captain and other officers to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
The Chief Engineer's day-to-day duties include overseeing routine maintenance, troubleshooting engine issues, and managing fuel consumption to optimize vessel performance. They will also be responsible for implementing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will conduct regular inspections and repairs to prevent equipment failures and minimize downtime.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Engineer's STCW certificate of competency.

- Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.
