Role overview
The Chief Engineer is a senior management position on a Platform Supply Vessel with dynamic positioning system. This role requires strong technical knowledge and experience to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the vessel's engine department.
The Chief Engineer's day-to-day duties include managing the engine room crew, performing routine maintenance and repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Chief Engineer will also be responsible for fuel management, budgeting, and reporting to the vessel's captain and shore-based management. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will participate in safety drills and training exercises to maintain the vessel's high level of safety.

What we look for
- Must hold a valid Chief Engineer's STCW certificate of competency.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Chief Engineer on a similar type of vessel.
- Must have experience with dynamic positioning systems and offshore operations.
- Must have a strong knowledge of engine room operations and maintenance.
- Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.
