Role overview
The Chief Engineer is a key member of the engine department on a Platform Supply Vessel with dynamic positioning system. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and experience in managing engine operations. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of the vessel's engines and associated systems.
The Chief Engineer will oversee daily engine operations, perform routine maintenance and repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Chief Engineer will also supervise and guide junior engineering staff, provide training and guidance as needed, and participate in emergency response drills. Additionally, the Chief Engineer will collaborate with the bridge team to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.

What we look for
- A valid Chief Engineer's STCW certificate of competency.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Engineer on a similar type of vessel.
- A strong understanding of engine operations, maintenance, and repair.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a degree in marine engineering or a related field preferred.
