Role overview
The Chief Officer is a senior crew member on a Bulk carrier responsible for overseeing cargo operations and deck maintenance. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel. The Chief Officer will work closely with the Master to achieve this goal.
The Chief Officer's day-to-day duties at sea include supervising cargo loading and discharging, monitoring deck maintenance and repairs, and conducting safety drills and training exercises. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for navigating the vessel during the Master's absence and maintaining accurate records of cargo and deck operations. Additionally, the Chief Officer will participate in bridge watchkeeping and contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of the vessel.

What we look for
- Relevant STCW/CoC certificate as Chief Officer
- At least 2 years of experience as a Chief Officer on a bulk carrier
- Strong knowledge of cargo operations and deck maintenance
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
